Dip trip flip fantasia

Next in the purple series is a soft, smokey look. The left eye is opposite the right with color. Mac Prep and Prime was used to prepare for the shadow and act as a base. Lime Crime Empress was smoked out on the top lid of the left eye and used as eyeliner on the lower lid of the right eye. Twilight was applied in the same fashion on the opposite eyes. D’Lilac was applied in three strokes to coat lips.

This is a pretty concept for a fashion look but is not appropriate for Orlando businesses. Purple in this manner is not acceptable for workin at Disney World, Sea World, or Universal Studios. It is bold and daring, but the eyes are a spin on Andie Sleeman’s makeup trend forecast.

Trick the bunny! Let’s paint ourselves and hide in the park

Photo

The Cross Seminole Trail is an interesting trek towardsf itness. Often walking at least two to three miles each Saturday and Sunday morning, we saw backyards of beautiful homes on our way across State Road 436, also known as Semoran Boulevard and East Altamonte Drive. If someone ever tells you to go to the corner of SR 436 and Semoran, it is nothing more than a practical joke. The local radio stations such as Power 95 (95.3) have played that joke on April fool’s day, and it was quite humorous listening o those who were fooled.

This year, let us fool the Easter bunny by painting ourselves and hiding in the park. Oh the serendipity of the bunny finding us as we sit like good little children in the corner. Maybe we could turn it into a movie with Queen Latifah as fairy godmother helping a young Renee Zellwiger find us – the eggs. We could even have flashbacks or cameos from deceased John Wayne. Why stop there? Let us throw in some vampires and werewolves and have a massive competition for Team Dracula and Team Potter to battle it out. There goes the active imagination again…

With all of the color options available to us, we shall return realistically to Orlando / Winter Park along the Cross Seminole Trail. The trail offers many trees, leaves, acorns, and other tiny places to hide eggs inconspicuously. We can hide behind bushes and shrubs then jump out to greet the rabbit with a heart attack. It is the perfect season to try Lime Crime D’Lilac. A soft, creamy, potent lavender with staying power, this color is for the fun and creative. It looks brilliant and amazing on any skin tone and offers Orlando those high fashion makeup looks for which we are otherwise unequipped. Orlando makeup artists, in general, seem to lack creativity and imagination. The are pleasantly constrained by the boundaries of ordinary beauty and bridal.

If any artist in the Orlando area submits creative works of art using D’Lilac, Got-Lashes.com will award a free pair of lashes in Subtle Purple. The are also sponsoring the Bravehearts for the Susan G. Komen 3 days for the cure walk in Tampa Bay in October. With proof of donation of $30.00 or more to the team, Orange and Seminole county residents will get a free pair of lashes (subject to applicable limitations, restrictions, conditions, and exclusions).

Team member profiles of the stunning Sonia Pisano, radiating Rachel Rados, and delightful team captain Debra Rados will soon follow. Please join the quest to battle breast cancer.

Answers can be in short format or paragraph format; however, complete sentences, professional writing, and proper grammar are required. Poor writing skills does not a good spokesmodel make.

  1. why you like false eyelashes;
  2. why you should be considered for the eyelash spokesmodel opportunity;
  3. how often you currently wear false lashes;
  4. how often you would wear false lashes; and
  5. which type of lashes you would be most likely to wear and for what reason (i.e. natural lashes everyday, colorful lashes on weekends, glow-in-the-dark lashes at clubs, etc.).

We are told that those selected as models will win free photo and makeup sessions in the greater Orlando area and appear in online ads, which may be used as tear sheets.  Those who are not located in the greater Orlando area may purchase lashes, photograph themselves, and submit those photos.

If you are not interested in false eyelashes or you prefer hair extensions, there is a contest for that also.  Visit their FaceBook page, look for the status update “What color hair extensions should we carry? Post colors here. Whoever first names the color that ends up with the most votes will win two extensions & possibly a photo & makeup session.”  Place your comment in that update.

New false eyelash & synthetic clip-in hair extensions store

Within the week, notice was shared via Twitter and FaceBook that a new online store launched in Orlando.  This store carries eleven styles of false eyelashes and five colors of synthetic clip-in hair extensions.  A wider selection is being planned.

What makes this store unique?

  1. It is Orlando based.
  2. It is a “mom and pop” shop and has been slowly emerging online for the past two years.
  3. They offer a concierge type service to bring the lashes to you for you to see them before you buy them.
  4. Personal delivery.
  5. Client’s located in Orlando are eligible for a free makeup makeover and/or free headshot session.
  6. If client’s take photos of themselves with the products, they can appear on the store website.
  7. As part of their concierge service, they offer cosmetics purchasing, so you do not have to worry about going to stores, trying all of the wrong colors, and waiting in lines.
  8. Contests and specials are offered regularly, so check their Twitter and FaceBook pages often!

About the products:

  • High quality, premium, synthetic false eyelashes, imported from Indonesia.  In an effort to minimize consumer waste, the lashes come in minimal packaging.  This is great for those of you who would like to resell them to your clients.  You can place your own branding or logos on them.  At this time, the price per pair of lashes is $6.25 plus shipping.
  • High quality, premium, synthetic clip-in hair extensions, imported from China.  These extensions are 18″ long by 2″ wide and can be heated with appliances up to 300 degrees.  Compared to Hot Topic and Sally Beauty Supply, these extensions feel and look more like real hair and blend more easily.

Given the state of the economy in Orlando, this is a great time to help an emerging, small business.  Why contribute to the mass conglomerates that only care about making money?  Why not help a fellow community member who cares about you?  The prices are less than the competition for better quality products!  Cart service is available through Google Checkout, so you will not have to worry about your credit card information.  Shipping is via regular U.S. Mail.  To celebrate the launch, now through March 15, 2011, at 11:00 pm EST, you can get 30% off on carts with $12.50 or more of product by using “mue30” at checkout.  Makeup artist and enthusiast discounts are also available.  Contact them for details.  Have fun getting lashed, because with names like “subtle” and “could ya be a doll” you can create a variety of looks!
